The Album...

Modern Pop Rock together with Bach Organ! Here are 3 demos, blueprints of what is to come. Please note that these are not yet professionally recorded. Imagine what your backing can do to studio-record these tracks at world-class standards and really make them shine.... Have a listen while you read about the tracks below.

"2012"

This recording is a Wundersound rehearsal with computer-sequenced horns added. Your donation helps us make a high-production recording that includes real big-band brass, classical organ, a 50-person choir in verse 3, Asian instruments, acoustic sound effects to suggest the passage of great time, and overall perfected performance.

"2012 [demo]"

(c)2011 Quinton Carlson (p)2011 Wundersound.

"Allabreve"

This live recording was made with good consumer-level equipment. Your donation will help us record Allabreve on-location with pro microphones to capture the complete frequency spectrum, and to enrich the power of the bass notes and generally recreate the full impact of being in the presence of a live classical organ.

"Allabreve [demo]"

by J. S. Bach (p)2010 Terry V. Nelson.

"So Happy"

This recording is a piecemeal development demo. With your donation, we will remake the song with a tightly rehearsed band, and add layers of musical texture to give more grandeur.

"So Happy [demo]"

(c)2008 Quinton Carlson & D.R. Casey (p)2011 Wundersound.

more tracks planned for the record:

"Pacific" A natural acoustic recording of the Oregon Coast.

"Node Of Reality" Wundersound pop tune.

"Special Sound" Acoustic and electronic effects from the film.

"Come, Holy Spirit" (J.S. Bach) Classical organ.

"The Time Is Sure To Come" (J.S. Bach) Classical organ.

"Right Here Now" Wundersound pop tune.

The Documentary Film...

We have in store for you a feature-length film following Wundersound making the album, and documenting our global celebration of 2012.

It's the story behind the art.

We plan music videos throughout, for each track from the album.

Your funding makes it possible for us to chronicle the joy as we transition through 2012. Our movie will be full of editorial vignettes of our times. Audiences will learn about:

  • What is 2012 anyway?
  • Pop Music Recording Techniques

Terry V. Nelson

Terry V. Nelson

Hi, I'm Terry V. Nelson, classical organist and keyboardist. I have dedicated my life to the great works of J.S. Bach. I was drawn to music at the age of four. My early training was in the heart of the Golden Triangle of North Carolina. At sixteen, I trained as a dance pianist with members of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, and later with dancers from Britain's Royal Ballet, and instructors from the Martha Graham School. I earned degrees in organ, piano and harpsichord from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and the University of Oregon. I have served as accompanist to conductor Helmuth Rilling and to soprano Eliane Lublin of the Paris Opera, and have enjoyed many more associations throughout my career. I currently serve as organist and pianist at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Portland, Oregon, and volunteer at Portland's Laurelhurst Dance Center. Although my training has been classical, I am particularly fond of The Beatles and John Denver.

Quinton Carlson

Hi, I'm Quinton Carlson, the singer and writer. I've dedicated the last 22 years to learning every facet of pop music and its business, from composing to studio management to sound engineering to label operations. Back in the day, I attended Columbia University and Parsons School of Design with a fine arts focus. My music education is entirely self-taught. Since I like

meditation, I decided to create Wundersound, a band

dedicated to pop music and meditation. While my

background is in pop, I believe it's high time for classical

music to re-enter popular consciousness. This 2012 project

is the launch of everything I have been building for 2 decades.
